Sam -

No power and no water. I can't even imagine how horrible that would be when it's 120 degrees outside. I've lived in Phoenix, but that's paradise compared to what Baghdad must be like right now.

If we ever had any hope of getting the Iraqi people to appreciate being "liberated" we would have had to provide them with a quality of life that was at least no worse than what they experienced under Hussein.

I do appreciate that it's hard to fix power stations when people keep blowing up car bombs and shooting at you. But my God, what a mess.

I feel so sorry for the poor Iraqis still in Iraq. Being a refugee has got to start to look good when things get as bad as they are now.
