It still looks to me that institutions are terrified of AMD's ability to destroy profits for the industry. But somehow, it doesn't dissuade them from holding AMD shares, yet.

AMD has enough funds to live another 6 months. Then they'll probably sell a $Billion or two in shares.

By then fab 30 will be idle or irrelevant. And it will be unlikely that Fab 36 can supply enough parts to engage in a price war. Except maybe at the lowest end.

This quarter's inventory figure will be a telling indicator for AMD's production capacity. I expect that for the next couple of years, AMD will be supply limited in mid and high end. If they choose to swing their mix to barc parts, then they'll be limited in the low end too.
