I gave up my private pilot's license over 30 years ago. Primarily due to the idiots out there without a clue. I came within, I'd guess, 100 feet of a mid-air collision. Guy in a twin passed right below me, going in the opposite direction. I could see the faces of the two in the front seats. They never saw me. They were nearly 1000 feet above the altitude they should have be flying for the heading they were on. I only flew a couple times more after that.
