the democrats want to abandon Iraq, finish the job and get Bin Laden. They have no stomach for it. And neither do we. The Terrorists know that if they "swim with the fish," we won't go after them. The casualty rate is too high. The way out is to announce that we will bomb homes in villages that harbor terrorists, then move in. Let the locals know that if they harbor them, they die. But we don't have the guts to do this. So we set back and take high casualties doing house to house, and missing most of them. The Haditha court-martials show the problem.
