<<No, I haven't seen "Sicko" but have seen lots of cuts from it on TV. Moore is a funny guy, no doubt.>>

Slag,"Sicko" is a serious film, from a serious guy in this instance.Take blinders off and see it.

<<But he is a socialist and socialism is just a repulsive doctrine, no matter how you frame it and regardless what "benefits" it may provide. Socialism expands government and leads to Big Brother's intrusion into everything. The most depressing place I have ever seen is a government housing estate. I would rather live in a cardboard box in the barrio or a shack in the wilderness.>>

You paint with a wide brush. Not long ago i had a very personal, up close and personal experience, with our new 400 million state of the art hospital for a week.Wait time, a month.Did i expect to go to front of the line ? No.Did i have a tremendously skilled surgeon? Yes.What did it cost me, $0.00 other than normal tax load which covers all infrastructure. What did i personally have to do to fend off early death???See my doc once a year sometimes more to lay down the personal numbers, so he can see in a glance, a spike, and book me for the specialist....simple No "denied letters" closed doors, ass kissing or rising insurance premiums..no bankruptcy simple

I know from personal experience that our Canadian doctors are well paid, and deservedly so,possibly better paid than the British doc in "Sicko."Moore's depiction of Canadian health care system is very accurate, because he took the time to come here and see for himself, not listen to the rich fat cat CNBC talking heads that slag the canadian system because of self interest.

Slag, look at the way the Finns educate their kids, look at the results...just because we live in North America does not mean we have all the answers.
