No you don't have to be in the NRA to get a hunting license. Some states require a hunter safety card or equivalent. NRA offers an equivalent, but have to join NRA to get it. The NRA denounces all criminal uses of firearms period. Klebold and Harris were underage and not allowed to even purchases the weapons they had. As I recall two people were successfully prosecuted for providing the Columbine weapons. Guns are not penis extension. Thats just stupid. Guns are tools, no different than any other hand tool period. If you're so sure guns are useless tell your local police to stop carrying assault rifles, shotguns and pistols. You always here what was the last time somebody used a gun to protect themself. Well if guns are so useless why do the police and military carry them?

Not true,

certainly not in Texas.

When my son turned 17 he had to get his own card for the shooting range (of course I had to foot the bill) but that was a private matter. I think you might have to be 18 to get a federal machine-gun tag.
