They were pretty effective about Vietnam. Imagine my surprise when my oldest claimed that we were winning in Vietnam when we decided to quit. Claimed that was what he was taught in history class. Now, I can agree we weren't losing. But, the state of "not losing" is not necessarily "winning". Which seems to have gotten lost somewhere.
