That people respond to price moves doesn't invalidate free will. Which is a prime determinant of what people do. The statement up front was mostly written as a matter of my philosophy and wasn't necessarily a response to something specific you said. Its what I see as a mistake in view by liberals in general ... not just about how people eat, but about a lot of things - that if we just fix something about our system, people will be better, make better choices etc. I think its more likely people are already doing what they want to do and its hard to manipulate them into doing something else. Again thats not necessarily in response to something specific you said, its just me stating my opinion about people.
