I'll make you a deal. I will trade 2 Idaho senators, Craig & Crapo, 1 Idaho representative, Sali, & 1 Idaho governor, Otter to you for both of your California senators, Feinstein & Boxer. such a deal you would not want to miss! what about Pelosi! the problem with government the past 26 years or so, is that when republicans ran for office on their anti- government agenda, they won on the populist vote, but found out they could not run an effective Depts of Interior/ Agriculture, much less any branch of administrative government. what they did was appoint their industry flunkies into key positions basically dismantling the agencies responsible for resource oversight. paralleling the compromised republicans, all sorts of 'wise use' movements (oxymoron) sprang up across the northwest where I live, all espousing the 'takings' initiatives...in essence, promoting thievery from the public lands via uncontested resource extraction. good stewardship became history. government is suppose to protect its citizens from the bad guys..not be complicit in stealing the natural resources that are owned by all citizens, not just a few that demand of it. by the way, the government does not restrict the right of trespass on our public lands. you may have to walk out & about on quite the large part but at least you will have time to sense the wild country & smell the flowers, before some Disneyland type theme parks takes title.
