In most cases app builders do not have to test for the
presence of the Barc, the compiler flag(s) is/are set in
the make file (or project settings) and the code is then
created for it. Now if the specifically want to hand optimize
that is a different situation. Just like intel...

As previously reported, the PGI compiler is out now and the
MS one is in beta to be released in 2008.
