Energyplay, I agree, under $4.80 BZP is a buy based on projected cash flow from oil starting in late 2007. My rational for the recent sell-off in BZP shares is that the sellers, some of them big players, are well aware of the time lag between exploration, production, and financial reporting. It's one thing to announce a discovery and another to book the revenues. That said, a good test result from Corvina 14D drilling, and prices should rally.

Transglobe TGA (with a similar market cap) reported annual cash flow of $51 million - $.80 / share and sold -off 25%. The market has been tough on oil companies with any weakness in their Q2 2007 report.

Looking forward, BZP Energy has considerable opportunities in Peru's energy markets. This article provides a good overview of the future for electric, oil and natural gas markets in Peru.

BZP estimates natural gas sales in Arenilias, Ecuador starting in late 2008. Assuming BZP can sell natural gas in Arenillias, at $2.50 - $2.80 USD / thousand cubic feet, how much cash flow could BZP expect on 60 MM/cf/day (Corvina 21XD) - $140,000 per day?

Hi, EP. >>>>Is there a rational reason BZP is well under $5.00, other than some people being forced to sell ?<<<<

Since I jumped on BPZ w/ cautious enthusiasm (about as logical a behaviour as everyone's irrational rationale being practiced these days) back in Jan shortly after ED Adj brought it to our attention, I felt it behooved me to try to give a response to your question, at least reflecting what I, and probably a few other small fry speculative players rationalized about this intriguing stock.

I have played this issue (with a more than appropriate percentage of my spec funds) all in and all out about 7 times, final dump of a 7/12 buy at 5.95, on 7/16 at 5.45. This series of trades left me with a small net gain overall and an impatient attitude at its reluctance to take off as I had hoped it would. Some of you may remember my expressed wish that it would yield my first multi-bagger!

I still believe this is an excellent long term play.....I just don't have time to wait on it. I have found that my money is better devoted to my recently developed trading strategy which I derived from Dabum's Momentum Band theories, modifying it to suit my particular style and needs. Over the 5 months that I have practiced and honed this strategy, I have achieved annualized gains on the monies devoted to it of about 38%, and in spite of the recent tumble of the general market, they seem to be improvung by the week. I might add that I'm delving into stocks outside of the energy field also, presently long in CRNT and BCSI.

So, EP, you might say that I was forced to sell, but only in order to apply my monies on a faster track which, so far, has proven to be a winner based on my parameters.

I have been recently trading in GLBL, HTE, FTO, CNE, and NOV & FTK....both of the latter may signal a reentry very soon.

I'll take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to both Dabum and Ed Adjootian for their great guidance....both of them displaying a degree of honesty and sincerity seldom witnessed on these boards. Of course, it goes without saying that the Dog's board consists of many great members and IMHO, it is tops of all on which I have spent any time.

Again, thanks and ...G'nite,

Buck
