Looking at the areas in our own towns is something all of us should do...THe media certainly won't call attention to the crud on the sidewalks, the yards with a total trash lining, matresses on porches, etc etc etc. On our trip to New England states, plus our ouw city, we see that kind of thing in areas where some of the 3rd world people are settling. Most of the visual things we see can be remedied by simple elbow grease with soap and water, or garbage sacks.

I noticed on Monday while driving through another neighborhood here in the north part of Seattle, another such site ....I think Jim McDermott considers some of that area his "home base".... Looks just like him. Totally unkempt and scruffy.
