tradelite,re:"No Tax on the Person Receiving your Gift or
Estate".

What is the cost base of a stock that I received, when I
sell it ?

Is it the closing price at time of the stock transfer ?

or

Is it the 'original cost' of the donor ?

Thanks in advance.

I'll bet a lot of people's kids could be classified as charities....although not qualified ones!

I think people give their kids down payments to keep them from continually moving back in with them. If that's their strategy in moving back in with Mom, it's working.
