"I'm sure it took a lot of kicking and screaming to overcome the beuracracy prevalent when Rudy became Mayor of NYC. But, he got results. I think people will put up with it if favorable outcome is the result. My biggest complaint of GWB is he's just TOO NICE. He lets people get away with calling him names, demeaning the Presidency and a lot worse then he comes back and says he just wants to get along with Congress. I would be happy if he called a SPADE A SPADE and started taking names and kicking butts. jdn"

Every President gets called names. Certainly, Slick Willie Clinton was called names....and a lot of that from conservatives. Did that demean the Presidency? Do you feel he was too nice? What should he have done? Or were the names he was called justified?

Or is it just whose ox is being gored, as they say?
