When he responded....oh...it was a post somewhere on this board...I was like...WHAT??? It would almost be worth it to join up, just for the ignore feature. I was trying to discuss with him, but when you make sweeping generalizations contesting a widely advertised feature as drop in replacement...I would think there should be something more than 1 poster on an investment board that you can't point to with a link saying they had a hard time. The chip isn't even out yet....how does he know? What about the new bios updates that aren't even on motherboard manufacturer's sites? If I had an unreleased chip and it wasn't performing the way it was supposed to such as drop in replacement, I would: 1. report it to the company and motherboard manufacturer first to see if I needed any more updates. 2. Upon getting no satisfaction, look again at the machine specs to make sure I had enough power, the memory was all good memory 3. Zip off a writeup to Mr. Magee's or Kyle's websites saying...hey, something is wrong here, only if the chip company was trying to hush me up because they are being completely lying about this highly advertised feature of the product which could trigger many lawsuits if 'drop in replacement' doesn't really work. Also, it could get the officers of the company thrown in jail, btw. I'm sure the BIG OEM's have real samples and real updates and know the real story... I'm am very disappointed in Doug...this calls every word he says into question and destroys any credibility of what he says.
