A land thing. Farmer John had some land, 360 acres that he did corn after corn just SE of Bloomington. It was worth about a large an acre but he knew a developer was going to pay him a fortune for it as Bloomington was expanding that way. He borrowed and borrowed against it as the bankers could see the march of homes. The ground was across from the airport that had 100 acres of unmowed grass and the big dickers would show up on opening day to hunt his last unpicked corn field in the county. Season opened at noon and everyone had their 3 pheasants by one pm.

Then the growth turned NE. Bankers got jumpy and he was not only not a farmer but he was as broke as my hopes and dreams. 3 years later the growth turned to the SE and the land he lost went for 15k an acre. There's gotta be a morale here but I can't find it.
