It is a pattern that some people do not bother to provide the source of their posts. It seems to happen more often with liberals that know that the source impugns it credibility. For instance, Monty has frequently quoted the NYTimes while attempting to obscure the source. It seems that nobody outside of the kook fringe left takes that paper seriously.
