"Why good jobs for graduates are missing" - You know I was watching the fast money guys on CNBC last night and right after that show Dylan Ratigan was hosting some MBA quiz show for all the college MBA people and I thought in a true harrison bergeron moment how pathetic - that is what our MBA kids have become - entertainment devices on a tv quiz show on a business news channel - so sad. engineers working as bartenders, taxi cab drivers, waitresses, and employed in menial work in dog kennels as the offshoring of US jobs dismantles the ladders of upward mobility for US citizens. Several of my friends from IBM are now delivering pizza - with MS in CS - but most are happy - and I guess being happy matters more than making big bucks programming big iron mainframes. force their American employees to train the lower paid foreigners who take their jobs. Yah that happened at IBM in 95 - so sad to see first hand too. domestic services that do not require a college education. One of my IBM cohorts began to cut yards in boca raton fla because he didn't want to move to north carolina when IBM shifted operations - it takes him 1 hour to cut a .15 acre yard in a master planned community in the very hot sun and humid weather - he was charging 50 bucks a cut several years ago - but pedro has come in and reduced prices to 15 to 20 bucks a cut - I think my friend has suffered a heat stroke a couple times. detention centers to delay for four or five years the entry of American youth into unskilled domestic services. Overglorified daycare for baby - HAHA! Hilarious! After the MBA quiz show I switched over to the military channel - they had this brit - Chris Ryan who is ex british special forces - and him and some US navy seals guys were playing soldier in the jungles of honduras and I thought hmmm - no more work for soldiers either - they have to become entertainment devices for TV too - hehe.
