Thanks for your considered response. Who can deny that there is a crisis of financial assets, caused by a drying-up of liquidity ? It is true, I suppose, that depressions can be so caused.

Despite historic set-backs, the story of the last 100 years has been a story of increasing prosperity, and higher prices. I have faith that both will continue.
