Nadini-poo, you read what you WANT to read. Saying there is a TENUOUS case for "strategic patience" is hardly a recommendation.

"..if Iraq's political leaders do move forward by early 2008, if the Sunnis are co-opted by the government and brought into the Iraqi Security Forces, and if the US does not rush out for domestic political purposes..."

All of this is MOST unlikely, except the US rushing out part! The current Iraqi government seems to be disintegrating. The Sunnis have LEFT the government.
