<<<<<<<We have discussed Q2 in length, I think it was a one timer because Q1 was so weak, you are thinking that Q2 was "normal" or a good predictor for the future -> we will see how this will play out.

Q1 was abnormal since the line-up was overpriced. As a result, they moved only about 11 million chips. They came to their senses in Q2 and spoiled the party a tad for Intel. Why is it so unthinkable for AMD to follow up on a 15 million - 60ish ASP Q2 with a 20+ million - 60 ASP Q4 (excluding Barc)? Holds its own in desktop and Opteron, keeps up the momentum in mobile, enjoys a bigger pie approaching 80 million in total units, and voila!

<<<<<<In germany hitlists at Resellers show me "only" Intel CPUs in the first ranks ...

In newegg it is 8/20 AMD. They are admittedly doing OK, but not stellarly in DIY given that crowd's tendency to go for overclocking, but they have a lead foot on the OEM pedal. Pioneering DIY segments will start to come back to AMD once Phenom hits the shelves.
