Truth ??? are you insane ??

That was certainly not the tone of CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather took toward Speaker Gingrich and the new Republican Congress in 1995: "The new Republican majority in Congress took a big step today on its legislative agenda to demolish or damage government aid programs, many of them designed to help children and the poor." Their attempts at oversight were part of a "political carpet-bombing attack."

re: Yeah there's no liberal bias in the MSM: Couric Praises Pelosi's New Congress for Promises Kept: They 'Worked Much Harder'

I suppose if you consider telling the truth a "liberal bias" you have a point.

Couric, however, grates on me. Can't stand to watch her.

That's my reaction as well about her. Its funny because they were always singing her praises when she was on in the morning.......but to me, the person who makes 'Today' what it is is Matt Lauer, and it wasn't Katie Couric. However, he comes off so low keyed people seem to underestimate his contributions.

BTW I saw Man of the Year on cable this past week. Its about a Jon Stewart-like comedian [Robin Williams] becoming president. You might find it interesting because of its contemplation of a third party winning the White House. Otherwise, it was kind of silly.
