Good grief, uw.....Even if you said 50 or so (and not the 25 or so more or less you think it might be) actual working in the battlefield Generals, out of a total of 308 Generals overall.....

Does that mean we have 234-259 GO's for 670,000 civilians?????

THAT should be cause for an investigation all by itself, shouldn't it?

How much does a General make? Wouldn't it be better to send these guys out to the battlefield? Or are they all like Wes Clark? Little Banty Roosters, flying their own little doghouses in the sky like Snoopy while fighting the Red Baron?

About 25 +/- total from a grand total of 309.

The reason for the big increase in GOs may be so the 670,000 civilian employees at DOD have a general to talk to about union complaints...and they are needed to review investigations and announce punishments of friendlies.
