Selling for what she paid, breaking even, is what my daughter-in-law did when she sold her condo before she and my son bought their home. Against her dad's advice, she had bought a one-bedroom condo instead of a two-bedroom, so it took a while to sell, but the deal got done. Nice that both the sale and new purchase took place before the easy-lending craze took hold and infected the marketplace.
