More clarification required for me, EKS.

What do you mean by "pure international play"? And are you looking for value tech, value, growth, what?

Do any of these fit?

Canroys?
Not too volative Korea telecom, KTC?
Israeli ELRN?
Mexican beverage co. FMX?
International gambling (gaming) stocks, MPEL, AZECF, CRYP?
Pharma?
German tech QI?
BMW cars BAMXF?

I have positions in all mentioned. I'm not recommending any.

I've got an order in now for more FIREX, an international real estate fund. Have today upped my EDVMF position a little. I may add to big pharmas AZN, WYE today.

CHKP :)

Internationally, I also own AZN, CRYP, CX, GSK, HRAY, KONG, PVD, TCEHF.PK, TOT, VCP. TCEHF is not a value stock, HRAY and KONG are very speculative, AZN and GSK are nowhere going pharmas, CRYP is somewhat crippled by USA anti-online-casino legislation. Let me know if you want me to discuss any of these in more detail. :)

thought there might be an international player that participates in the global infrastructure build out.

Well, one of those would be Manitowoc (MTW). Foreign sales 48%, the bulk of their profits comes from construction cranes. It may be a little expensive right now, but it will probably come back.

That said, I don't own it, and I'm leery of the infrastructure plays right now. We've seen crazed Asian buildouts before, and buying into them once they've gained a head of steam has yielded mixed results, at best. I'd be looking to buy infrastructure companies when Asia has a forest of "see through" buildings, and cranes are standing idle over holes in the ground.
