Bingo, had to recommend that ... with the exception of nuclear, all energy we use is solar power - with hydro we harness the hydrologic cycle that is powered by sunshine, same with wind, all fossil fuels and firewood and feedstock for ethanol or biodiesel or whatever are products of a growth process powered entirely by the sun ... and as for feeding the world, well try doing that without it, lol

We just have to get better at using it directly ... photovoltaic cells have been improving and coming down in price for forty years now ... somebody should come up with a breakthrough advance with them, maybe an entirely new approach chemically speaking, and somebody just might, who knows ... same with batteries, big bucks await the inventor of something better
