In a word: YES.

(Any pol with 'negatives' as high as their 'positives' in the polling, and who is also an extremely well-known quantity with the public - so it becomes harder to change people's attitudes, because they are already fairly well set - has difficulties that can be exploited in an election.)

With negatives that high, moving even 3% or so of the public over to the 'negative' side would likely be enough to prevail.

She hasnt won THIS conservative over, nor any of his friends. People I know SHUDDER at the mere thought of her gaining office. jdn
