Run Away Mr. T! Panic and fear may be your friend, but I guess I was always empathetic to the underdog and lesser emotional weaklings out there and would like to prevent undue emotional stress for such beings. I am not against the function of gold to moderate inflation, I think a lot of people misunderstand that. I just think the function gold serves can be done if you have honest people with integrity making honest systems and rules and enforcing them. Gold or no gold, if a pirate is the captain behind the wheel - you are still finished and will be cheated somehow. To sell the gold meme is to cheat people from doing what they really need to do - wake up and get some honesty and integrity into their systems. Panicking them to run into gold never wakes them up from their harrison bergeron entertainment. Running to gold does not fix the CORE of the rot in the system - evil crooks doing bad things. The problem in the USA at least is that there are not enough political agents per capita - we need 250 states - not gold to fix the real problem. Too few politicos have too much concentrated power that needs to be dispersed. This will require people turning off Oprah and opening some history books or turning on Cspan - gold or no gold - without that - nothing changes. Erita doesn't stop putting lead tainted chinese toys in her mouth without some loving daddy to stop that eh? The only reason he knows to protect her is he turned off oprah and read some reports that lead is not so good for the body. Gold or no gold, the fix is education and honesty and integrity - having gold will not make Mozilo a good person.
