re: I'm with you, I HATE flying. It's only gotten worse and worse since I first flew, thirty years ago. Nowdays, I make the trip part of the experience, taking small two-lane roads wherever possible and smelling the roses on the way. Wringing whatever diversity I can out of homogenized America. No kidding. I used to be a road warrior; often 2-3 cities in a week. It wouldn't bother me a bit if I never got on another airplane in my life. Shame you can't drive to Europe...
