If she had complained of headaches for a year, as they said, and if you can cure this if you catch it early, as they said, then it's more likely than not that catching it a couple of months earlier would not have saved her. And the tumor could have been inoperable for all we know.

I've known of three young people, all spouses of colleagues over the years, who died of brain tumors. That's a really bad disease to get.

I'm not suggesting that the delay was reasonable or fair or something we should move to as a country, only that it is way over the top to claim that her medical system killed her.

Aside and FWIW, I had an encounter with the medical system over the last couple of days. I passed out and ended up with both a ride in an ambulance and an overnight stay in a hospital. I can't wait to see the bill for that. I observed many examples of waste in the process and intervened to stop a couple of them. (Couldn't have been in too much medical trouble if I was able to observe the process the whole time for waste. <g>) When I get a chance to analyze the costs, I'll get back to the thread.
