There are two main factors - 1. prospects of the metals for which our juniors are proxies, driven by supply and demand of the metals themselves, and 2. prospects of speckie sharepaper, driven by supply and demand of the paper itself ... i see number 1 as not too threatened by a US downturn, with the chindians/brasilussians et al steaming ahead full bore ... at least this should mean a lot to the PMs and to zinc, imho, don't have a feel for the rest

But it's on number 2 we're vulnerable in the short run ... we usually are at this time of year, is the thought that keeps sticking in my head, perhaps overmuch, to the exclusion of signs pointing to a big kahuna ... still, on considering this possibility for the umpteenth time, i'm prepared to wait out whatever passes in the near term, sitting on favourites i like and intend to keep ... even musing on when there might come a buy opp in the nickels we were playing this spring, believe it or not [but far more interested in PMs/zincs for the next weeks]

Thought that was a funny expression, did you, lol ... it really does often strike me how we come at things from completely different angles ... and to answer your first question, yes there was probably a little sippin', it was that time on a friday ... as for tokin', no that roughly-annual event may take place this coming weekend, big party for our daughter's birthday and all the old hipnoid buds are invited ... one of them pulled into the yard the other day on a motorcycle, whipped out a spliff but i stopped him from lighting it, don't like my daughter to see me smoking anything ... which is part of why i'm building stuff around here [see an aussie book called Blokes and Sheds]
