LindyBill; Again, it's a "credit problem." Not sure what I said that is contrary to that statement? I agree completely with it. The underlying value of these mortages is not the problem. It's the short term liquidity of the bundled mortages because of Bear activity So you are suggesting it is okay to have the government step in when we have a "Bear" problem? How can any investor put their money to use if that is the case? The "Bear" problem is nothing more than a symptom. The underlying problem is the investor has no idea how bad the margined hedge funds are under water. As a separate issue, what now happens to that paper? It now is in the hands of the fed?
