John;

was some democrats are talking about 50 year mortgages to keep these people in their homes.

What the holly heck does this have to do with democrats and democratic issues? Philosophically, are you opposed to 50 year mortgages? I'm not. Japan has used them for years. If people are stupid enough to take out a 50 year loan - I say go ahead and do it. For sure let them do it - but if they fail to pay off the mortgage, then the paper holders lose - NOT THE TAXPAYER. What I don't get is why the people here always have to make it political.

the public looking for nothing down and 10% cannot longer get mortgage commitments.

And who allowed that? My point John is that the taxpayer should not bail these guys out. None of them.
