Sorry, but the most egregious and despicable is the one currently in power. They condoned and fostered it. And it was done totally for purely political and self-serving reasons with complete disregard for the consequences. This is and has been true of every action taken since 2000. And still, EVERY last one, from the top down, continues parading bozos around minimizing the issue. Why? Because how do you explain to the public that one lying, bumbling idiot can do so much damage in so many ways in such little relative time. Current clowns gameplan was use Bush name to get nominated, elected, oust Saddam in retaliation for the humiliation dad, leader of the superpowers, endured at the hands of some 3rd world dictator. Sr received endless flak after the Gulf War for not finishing the job. 9/11 was exploited for that purpose. EVERY thing they did and said after that point was always steered towards removing Saddam. EVERY move, all risk and all blame was channeled to Saddam being in power. All intelligence disclosed seemed to always twist in the right direction. Nothing added up though. I watched it unfold at the time day by day and hour by hour and was aghast that nobody ever questioned the obvious pattern and path being formed by Bush. I remember when Powell started publicly questioning things and did an about face overnight. You could clearly read on his face when testifying he wasn't believing what he was saying. He didn't stick around too long after that. And in the idiot's genius and egomaniacal way, the spoiled little weasel selfishly and wrecklessly jumped into some fiasco and created a catastrophe of epoch scale. Six years later, sitting in a huge mess and the moron has nothing to lose by continuing to play out the lies and continue espousing he's just a man of morals and conviction. And there's some 28% or so that still stand by him, most of whom can be characterized as either deeply religious, party loyal or patriotic; all to an obvious fault. So I put nothing past this lowly scum to wreck the long term economic strength of the US in order to gain some short term popularity. Propagate the growth and turn a blind eye to the ultimate consequences. Notice the one thing and the sole remaining positive his administration carried was the economy. He always made sure to point that out in his appearances and press conferences in between his repeating of "Americans have the resolve to finish the job" BS. That piece of crap has to be a complete psycho to stand in front of a podium day in and day out and pretend that his lowest poll #'s of any president don't exist and that he actually speaks for Americans.
