A big "C" down to match a previous large decline (in this case 2000-2002) would also be the time period when wars have a tendency to start and/or escalate. We might find ourselves living in "interesting times". Conceivably, markets may become one of our lesser concerns.

yes, that would really test the meaning of buy and hold!
From an investment standpoint all that would matter is keeping powder dry to buy way down there: but what powder: cant imagine USD...

bottom testing has always been quite plausible, in spite of the new heights. just my humble 2 cents.
