Why did the rightwing murder Pat Tillman? There was only one possible motive for killing Tillman, his announced plan to become a political activist right before the 2004 election. He would have been like Cindy Sheehan on steroids, and if you believe there aren't those on the far right who would murder a guy like that, just the way Joe Wilson and John Kerry were assassinated with lies, cheating and smear jobs, then you're naive. Tillman was a sitting duck as soon as he made it clear what he was going to do. I'm sure it went all the way up the flagpole at least to Rumsfeld, but probably to Rove and Bush.

Wars are always pocked with fragging and murders. But when the entire Bush-Cheney empire could be brought down by one football hero turned Army ranger, what is his life worth? Nothing.

The true story of the murder may never be known, but we do know for a fact that three close range shots to the head are completely the opposite of what Rumsfeld's Pentagon people first claimed. So the cover-up proves malicious motive. The lying proves more possible lying. And the medical evidnce leaves little doubt. Then there's the question of the motive. finding out Tillman planned to campaign fro John Kerry clarifies the motive.

So what we have is a great American tragedy and deeply evil treason. Bushies have proven so far they are always just as bad or worse than what we feared. This is no exception.
