I thought that too. Trying technology there that would never be accepted in the "free world". Congress is passing some bad legislation in the name of fighting terrorism. The Republicans bullied it through saying to those who raised the issue of our rights that if you vote against it and there's a terrorist attack it'll be your fault. And that worked. Now we have phone taps without a warrant. Unlimited snooping. I can't believe it.
