Accredited Home lenders Holding Co. (LEND) on Friday delayed filing its second-quarter report and said that it expected to report a net loss of $40 million to $60 million, compared with net income of $41 million in the year-ago period.
According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company originated about $1.7 billion in mortgage loans in the U.S. and Canada during the quarter ended June 30, an amount that was 59% less than the $4.1 billion in the year-ago period.

The San Diego mortgage company said it had total liquidity of about $240 million for the period, compared with total liquidity of about $316 million in the year-ago period.
Accredited Home Lenders also has yet to file its first-quarter report, and said Friday it working to file the financials for both periods as soon as possible.
