There's something else going on in the liberal Tillman murder/fragging myth. Tillman was fighting Taliban in Afghanistan when he was killed, not Iraq - the war liberals claim they're against. But the troops in Afghanistan are still depicted as murderous rogues. So this myth reveals a hatred against American troops per se, not just the Iraq conflict.
