Elmat, "Return to the natural size." That sort of logic implies that nations wax and wane like the tides or polar glaciations and that is just silly. That sort of logic is Neo-Marxist to the degree that it implies our current situation is "inevitable". Our unfortunate position is the direct result of unfortunate choices we made over 100 years ago, compounded by still more bad moves more recently. Maybe the worst mistake of all was to ever become a "global superpower" in the first place, let alone the "sole superpower". There has been lots of treason and we have a bunch of internal enemies who hopefully one day will be dealt with. Slagle
