This is what happened....someone tossed a cigarette in the pit after I had placed the wood but before I dumped the gas. This was a really uncool scene. I'm the fire guy for a reason. I always put on a safe but very cool Wizard of Oz display. My annual mushroom cloud is quite fun for all to see but it went way wrong this year. I don't have much fear PROVIDED that I control the event. It looks far more dangerous than it is unless you have an unknown ignition source.
