Tom > Chomsky sums it up nicely

Unfortunately, he ducks out on the final solution issue by taking refuge in the undefined mirage of the "two-state settlement".

>>As for the short-term future, the best case would be a two-state settlement, per the international consensus. That is still by no means impossible. It is supported by virtually the entire world, including the majority of the US population.<<

It should have been perfectly clear to Chomsky, as it is to any realistic observer of the polemic, that both the composition and the location of the two states are as far away from being decided on now as they ever were, perhaps further. And I'm not even talking about more contentious issues like the right of Palestinian return and reparations for land which was taken since 1948 and which will not be given back. So, one wonders why he doesn't come out directly and say it?

Should the Palestinians register their guns at the closet Isra'Eli checkpoint as well?
