Turning their strengths against them August 14, 2007 - 03:18 ET — KC Mulville Of all the hilarious spins, this one is the silliest. Take the Kerry SwiftBoat ads. The Democrats knew that being soft on terror would be disastrous in the 2004 election, so they turned to Kerry. Their spin was that his Vietnam service made him critic-proof, even if his record as a public official made him deeply suspect. Kerry willingly became a cheerleader of the radical anti-war Left after he came home. His voting record was entirely liberal. But the Democrats tried to sell the symbolism that since he was a decorated veteran, he couldn't be soft on terror. It was Kerry's own record that did him in. The Democrats, however, cannot admit their own spinning, so they blame Rove for it. It's also preposterous that Rove must be a monster because he dared to imply that the Democrats are weak on terror. Democrats ARE weak on fighting this war, to the point that their participation in the process has become an obstacle, rather than a help. The other ridiculous idea is that Bush "promised to bring us together, but divided us." The Democrats have been trying to tear down Bush from the day one. Remember Dan Rather's warning that Bush was appointed, not elected? They have undermined Bush every day, in every medium they can find, from the moment of the election. They have done it with anger, with bitterness, and with a complete rejection of reality. BDS started in November of 2000. It's absurd to portray the Democrats as if they were meekly and cheerfully welcoming Bush to Washington, only to see Rove attack them. The Democrats had the daggers out before Bush left Texas. ***************** Hillary Cinton's Lame Brain August 14, 2007 - 06:28 ET — Jack Bauer So... who is HILLARY CLINTON'S LAME BRAIN... Who pulls the strings to ClintonInc's puppet. We need to know. Incidentally, one of the ACTUAL architects of the truthful Swift Boat ads was James Corsi. He's not a Republican, and has voted Democrat. He also doesn't think much of President Bush, has a very low opinion on many of his policies, including illegal aliens and the prosecution of Ramos and Campean. He just happened to think JOHN KERRY was a lying scummy disgrace. Apparently some people cannot conceive that many vets may have genuinely thought Kerry would be a disgusting choice as President. They have to deceive themselves into thinking, well, they must be pro-Bush. It's also a fact that far from being "brave" in going after Kerry's dodgy "war" record, Rove wanted NOTHING to do with the Swift Boat folks. These people wouldn't know or recognize the truth if it swam up and bit them in the ass ... They make up their own truth, and then spin it like a drill into the skulls of the viewing audience. Let's revise that old joke ... What do you call 100 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean ... What do you call 100 MSM reporters at the bottom of the ocean? He has been one of the most successful republicans in the last 100 years.
