Happy thought for the day:

As things continue to decline, one of the first things which happens is that dividends get cut. I do get so annoyed two or three times a month when I see $50 or so is withdrawn from my account to pay the dividend against my shorts.

Those payment which make my short more expensive to hold will go away.

When they do, the value of my short will increase dramatically because the Street really hates dividend cuts.

I love snowballs rolling down hill.

re: We are concerned that we cannot meet any significant redemption requests without selling securities at deep discounts to their fair value and therefore causing unnecessary losses to our clients."

What happens a few months from now when they still can't sell the garbage? When do they have to admit they are holding a big pile of steaming horse manure?

No, wait, not horse manure. That is at least useful as a fertilizer.
