That may be true, but my understanding is that VIX futures have been the most profitable trade in the market in recent years. Play with them with mechanical systems if you've got the time and the software. I've got the software but not the time. -g/ng

VIX seemed to work well into the March 2003 bottom. In recent years Panic/Euphoria that you also follow worked like a charm till it stopped working when it hit the top of it's 2 year range this spring and didn't signal a euphoric top. Now VIX seems to be coming back in vogue again..
