I thought you said it was a "huge leap in technology".

Anyway, current "luxury" cars are designed and "tuned" for performance, not economy. You could probably run those same cars on a 4 cylinder and get 40 MPG highway easy.

Would people buy them? Not right now... that's why you need to incent good social behaviour. Sort of like you folks want to do on your social issues... and society does all the time on other issues.
