" Especially for people over 6' (180cm)."

Wrong. I am 6' 4" and a Golf, even a Polo isn't too small. Or a reduction in my standard of living. Frankly, I prefer either over a pickup because they don't get squirrelly on a wet road or in high winds.

re: It seems that your link supports Technu's claim / question

His claim (not question) was that it was a huge leap in technology. It's not.

For most people, driving Mini Cooper or VW Golf a reduction of standard of living. Especially for people over 6' (180cm).

Gee, this could be an idea for environmentalists: Lets starve and malnurish our children, so that they don't grow to their full potential. The new "green" midgets will have smaller CO2 "footpring".

If you are so concerned about people who are 6' or taller, then why don't you get the gov't to prod the auto industry to come up with a car that promotes fuel efficiency while making it comfortable for 6 footers?
