Tom Riddle, from the article:

> Venezuelans have not suffered a loss of civil liberties under the Chavez government, as we have for example in the United States since 2001.

Eyes Wide Shut: The International Media Looks at Venezuela

by Mark Weisbrot

zmag.org;

I don't know how this can be changed. The American public lost control of this country a long time ago. Its no longer a true democracy.

I posted on this thread that my sister has been asking me about vertigo. It seems that several people where she lives, ranging in age from 20-50, all have experienced vertigo in the pass six months. The doctors are telling them they have a virus. However, my sister is smart enough to know that this vertigo is not acting like any virus. So she asked me if I had heard anything about vertigo. I just laughed. I told her the doctors are lying to these people because they don't know what it is. These people are getting the same kind of doctoring that Dr. Frist gave us when he stated that Terry Schiavo was alive and not a vegetable. Its insane. No one wants to consider that our lifestyle might be giving us vertigo; that our lifestyle maybe contributing to our placement as the 41st country in terms of lifespan. Fageddabodit!

We are being lied to in the press, by doctors, by ministers, by our leaders.......people who are in some kind of authority either because they don't have the answer or they have an agenda or they don't give a damn. Consequently, our enemies are figments from the imaginations of our leaders. Bush doesn't like Chavez because he's a leftie. So word goes out to the American media to present Chavez in the worst possible light. Carter tells us the Chavez elections were fair but the media reports exactly the opposite. Its insane.........and I don't know how to stop it.
