Well, of course. Only Xeon and XE desktop parts are going to have the IMC enabled/present. No real pressing need for it in mainstream desktop & mobile.

Oh I see, he's claiming a certain Xeon MP part (Stoutland?) will have a different IMC that supports FBD, while the rest of the Xeons and XE desktop have the 3x DDR3. I suppose that is possible, though I wouldn't be surprised to see FBD dropped.
