EL - Qs business is about creating, exploiting and defending its patents. Nothing more nothing less.

Are you saying that there is a possibility that they have not done what is necessary to defend their patents?

Is there anyone on any of the threads that could believe it possible that Q was not doing what it and every other company with patents does as a matter of standard practice to defend it's patents? I doubt there is a single SI poster who could have beleived that after what we have been through with Rudi.

If that is the case the company needs changes.

Best,

L

Whatever Q ipr used in GPRS and EDGE were declared and licensed frandly only for WCDMA. GPRS and EDGE did not work well and not expected as winer but it turned out to be very competitive with or exceeding CDMA 1x 2000. It was found out later that the reason for upset was those Q iprs were in GPRS and EDGE. Question is when and how Q found it. Did Q know the IPR could be useful for EDGE early on and did not explicitly state licensing was only for WCDMA, none other than WCDMA?

Correct me if wrong, TIA
